The workshop focused on introducing students to the fundamental concepts and practical applications of the Internet of Things (IoT) in developing smart and automated home environments. The session covered IoT architecture, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The resource person demonstrated how smart devices such as lights, fans, and security systems can be integrated using IoT platforms to improve energy efficiency, security, and convenience. Students were given practical insights into using microcontrollers like Arduino and Raspberry Pi for implementing home automation systems.
The session also emphasized the role of cloud services and mobile applications in enabling remote monitoring and control of devices. The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion, encouraging students to explore innovation in IoT-based smart systems.
