Congratulations to M.Tech CSE 4th year students (2021–2026), Muthu Aanand Su and Kamalesh Kumar Saravanan, for winning First Prize in the 50-Hour DesignSpark Challenge, organized by SECTOR SKILLS COUNCIL Nasscom in collaboration with the School of Design Thinking at Intellect Design Arena Ltd. As part of the team “Quantum Quotients,” they demonstrated exceptional creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving through the Design Thinking approach. Their innovative ideas and dedication set them apart in this highly competitive event. Guided and supported by our Head of the Department, Dr. M. Nithya, this achievement reflects the strength of mentorship and the spirit of innovation nurtured within our department. Happy to share that both students have been offered internships at Intellect Design Arena Ltd. in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Congratulations to Nikesh B, Vigneshwaran R, Viknesh S.R., and Harish S — 3rd year M.Tech CSE students (2022–2027) — for securing Second Place in the CodeHive Hackathon hosted by the CSBS Department of Veltech Multitech Dr. Rangarajan Dr. Sakunthala Engineering College on March 14, 2025! Participating as Team Tech Wizardz, they impressed the judges with their exceptional innovation and problem-solving abilities, standing out among tough competition and winning a cash prize of ₹3000. Their collaborative spirit and technical excellence were truly commendable.

Congratulations to the Department of M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering 3rd year students (2022-2027) A. Rishi Vel, R. L. Sabari, G. Hasumathi Lakshmi,Divya Sri M, securing 2nd place at Code Frei Ai, a hackathon organized by St. Joseph’s College of Engineering on March 24-25, 2025,under the guidance of Dr. M. Nithya, Head of the Department. Their project focused on the integration of Message Control Protocol (MCP) in an Interactive Skills Enhancer designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID). This achievement highlights their commitment to technological advancement and their efforts in developing impactful solutions.

The Smart India Hackathon 2024, held at Amity University, Chhattisgarh, on December 11 and 12, 2024, is a flagship initiative aimed at promoting problem-solving skills and encouraging innovation among students across India. Competing against some of the brightest minds in the country, the team’s innovative solution stood out for its creativity, technical excellence, and potential impact.

On 12th November 2024, Surya A. and Sivanesh K.S. participated in the prestigious SRM SDG Hackathon, hosted by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
