The BIS Student Chapter of the Department of M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering organized a Standards Technical Event titled “CALIBREX 3.0” on 28 October 2025 with the support of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Chennai Branch Office.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. C. L. Lokesh Kumar, Director & Product Head, AppReal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In his address, he emphasized the importance of industry standards in ensuring product quality, safety, and global competitiveness, and encouraged students to understand the role of standardization in technological innovation.The event included several competitions such as Technical Presentation on Standards, Mock Technical Committee Meeting, AD-MAD Competition, and Writing Standards Competition, designed to enhance students’ understanding of standards and their applications in industry and everyday life.
The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students. It enhanced awareness about standardization, quality, and the importance of BIS standards.
